Launch error

When starting Mailmeteor, you are receiving an error message and the add-on does no launch. How to fix this issue?

Mailmeteor might have issues authenticating your account. Most of the time, it happens when you have multiple accounts logged in Google.

Here are the kind of error messages related to this issue:

  • refused to connect

  • Authorization failed / connection error

  • We're sorry something went wrong

  • Add-on is not showing up in the menu

  • Not able to install

How to solve this issue?

If you are using multiple Google accounts, Google might have trouble identifying which account you want to use. To solve this issue, it's easy:

  1. Click on your profile icon at the top right corner of your browser.

  2. Click on Add +

  3. Create a dedicated profile

It will avoid the situation when you have one profile logged in within your browser and one profile logged in within Google Sheets. In the current way Google has built its add-ons system, this is the simplest manner to use your add-ons without conflict.

The solution above did not work? Try the following:

  1. Reload Mailmeteor. Close the add-on and open it again.

  2. If that didn't help, log out of all accounts except the one you need to send emails from. At the top right corner of the window, click Profile > Sign out.

  3. Still in trouble? Open Mailmeteor in incognito mode (or private browsing) or using a different browser. Here's a guide to use incognito mode.

If the issue persists, you might need to re-install the add-on: go to Mailmeteor's G Suite page, click "Uninstall". Then, install Mailmeteor again from our G Suite page.
